I Long to Be In Unison With You

I calm my conquered mind with quiet relief

I calm my conquered mind with quiet relief

As I walk through your shaded groves.

Leaves whisper peace that I believe

Will make sense of these circus shows.

Your path becomes jagged as I climb

Towards a rocky peak beyond view.

Your sounds render me speechless—a mime,

Oh, I long to be in unison with you.

Bathed in hues of purple and blue,

Your summit summons me into silence.

As my face is cleansed with golden renew,

Your quiet love becomes my guidance.

This climb left me bloodied and beaten,

But it’s a learned lesson that I’ll pursue.

You’ve shown me a piece of Eden,

Oh, I long to be in unison with you.
